About Larapinta Design

I grew up in various countries in South America, where its powerful colors and impulsiveness has always fascinated and inspired me. I gathered a wide variety of impressions, walked through the colorful markets, bought fabrics, and developed my intuition for design and individuality. Larapinta was founded in 2014 in Hamburg, Germany, driven by a passion for creating stylish, unique and handmade products. Every item is designed and manufactured by hand, ensuring exceptional quality and individuality in each piece.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy centers on meticulous craftsmanship and the use of superior materials. Every item is designed and manufactured by hand, ensuring exceptional quality and individuality in each piece. With my products, I want to bring a feeling of lightness into lives and a touch of faraway countries. My passion for travel, nature and global living is reflected in everything I design. The patterns and colors of the accessories remind me of my South American roots and my favorite country, Australia.

Our mission

The great importance of high quality of materials and use of natural products, wherever possible, is what we are assuring. We want to provide our clients with a durable, timeless, and ecologically friendly product. All of our woods beads are FSC®-certified (Germany) and all of our fabrics are sourced from the mainland of Europe.

Manufacturing

Our handmade products are crafted in our small atelier in Hamburg, Germany. Each piece is unique, with slight variations that showcase the individual touch of Larapinta Design.

We are happy to announce the launching of our very first collection. A careful selection of goods designed by Larapinta Design.

Our customized pieces are available for certain products. For customer-specific orders, please send an email inquiry.

Interior Design

In addition to designing products for Larapinta, I work as an interior designer. I start each project with a fresh approach, using my design expertise and my passion to create beautiful spaces balancing functionality and aesthetics. I create unique spaces that meet my client’s needs. Among other things, I set up two flagship stores in Hamburg: 'Katharina Hovman' and 'Mymarini'.

I also offer my services to individuals and their private homes. With my individual advice, I will help you to combine the existing with the new, set accents, create clarity and thus develop a coherent overall picture for individual rooms or even for the entire apartment/house.

Inspirations

Travel fuels my creativity, offering endless inspiration from every corner of the world. I see each journey as a source for new impression, leaving its mark on my designs.

The passion for travel, nature and global living is reflected in everything I design. The patterns and colors of the accessories remind me of my South American roots and one of my favorite countries in the world, Australia.

In both these regions of the world expressive colors and the lightness of form and material play a major role. It has inspired me for a long time and it still does.
